Urbanomy is launched in 2020 after 1 year of incubation within EDF Corporate Ventures Incubator. Urbanomy is born from the motivation and entrepreneurial spirit of its 3 co-founders and EDF’s commitment to take on climate change by taking a leading role in the energy transition and enhancing quality of life as a result! Urbanomy partners with EDF R&D and EDF international business development teams as well as a network of local partners to complement its offer. EDF is a unique partner for cities, thanks to decades of close relationships with stakeholders and urban systems operations (district heating, smart grids, waste to energy, etc.). This gives Urbanomy an innovative perspective on the nexus of urban design and energy systems planning. Urbanomy is dedicated to tackling and delivering strategic, net-zero projects with and for its clients.
Benjamin is Urbanomy’s co-founder and CEO. He’s been involved in energy and climate topics for many years and holds a Master of Science in Civil Engineering from the École Centrale de Nantes, as well as a Master of Science and Techniques in Urban Environment from the same institution, in association with ENSA Nantes School of Architecture.
Within EDF Group for 14 years, Benjamin expanded, both in France and internationally, his expertise in urban systems, local energy planning, decarbonisation and innovation, through experiences in research at the European Institute for Energy Research (EIFER) in Germany, as Director of EDF Lab in Singapore and as research and development team manager in the UK. By creating Urbanomy, Benjamin relied on these successful research projects to cultivate his wish for a desirable and inclusive future.
Lucie is Urbanomy’s co-founder and Deputy CEO. While at Veolia, Dalkia and within EDF’s International Division, she carried out numerous operations linked to Corporate Social Responsibility, change management and the development of new offers.
Holding a Masters in European Careers from Sciences Po Lyon as well as an MBA in International Management (former Master in European Business) from ESCP Business School, Lucie takes pride in bringing together matters that may not seem obvious at first. This is how she pictures business transformation for companies from the public and private sector alike, guided by general interest and climate change which lie at the heart of Urbanomy’s expertise.
Whether you are a real estate developer, an asset owner, a public body or a business leader, we can support your transition to net zero.
